What is TruthMatrix?
TruthMatrix is an AI-powered document verification system that analyses complex regulatory applications. It uses five specialist agents to check completeness, verify facts, validate external references, match precedents, and draft panel responses.
How does TruthMatrix work?
You provide your application documents. TruthMatrix ingests them alongside relevant legislation, panel decisions, and external reference data. Five specialist AI agents analyse the application from different angles and produce a structured findings report.
What types of applications can TruthMatrix verify?
TruthMatrix is currently focused on New Zealand Fast-Track Approvals applications. The system is designed for complex regulatory applications involving thousands of pages across multiple technical reports.
What is in the findings report?
The findings report includes an executive summary, findings organised by category, severity ratings (critical, high, medium, low), source references with page numbers and document names, and specific recommendations for each finding.
Does TruthMatrix replace my planners, lawyers, or experts?
No. TruthMatrix is a QA layer that supports your existing team. It does not write applications, make legal judgments, or replace professional expertise. It catches gaps that are difficult to find manually across thousands of pages.
What are the five specialist agents?
The five agents are: Completeness Checking (statutory requirements), Fact Checking (internal consistency), External Validation (public data verification), Precedent Matching (panel decision patterns), and Q&A Response Drafting (panel query support).
Process
How long does a TruthMatrix audit take?
Timing depends on the size and complexity of your application. Contact us for a scoping conversation and we can provide a timeline for your specific project.
When should I use TruthMatrix in the application process?
At any stage. Before lodgement to catch gaps, when the panel requests information, when opponents raise questions, or when preparing responses to panel queries. Earlier is better -- catching issues before the 15 working-day completeness assessment avoids delays.
What documents do I need to provide?
Provide your full application document set including technical reports, assessments of environmental effects, consultation records, and any supporting material. The more complete the document set, the more thorough the analysis.
What is the Fast-Track Approvals process?
The Fast-Track Approvals Act created a streamlined consenting pathway for significant NZ infrastructure and development projects. It includes a 15 working-day completeness assessment followed by panel review with public notification and hearings.
What happens after I receive the findings report?
Your team reviews the findings and addresses the issues identified. The report provides specific recommendations and source references so your experts can resolve each finding efficiently.
Can TruthMatrix check multiple related applications?
Yes. If you have multiple related projects, TruthMatrix checks cross-application consistency to ensure they do not contradict each other.
Data and Privacy
How is my application data handled?
Your documents are processed securely and are not shared with third parties. We handle your information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. See our privacy policy for full details.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your application documents are used solely for the purpose of generating your findings report. They are not used for AI model training or any other purpose.
Who has access to my documents?
Only the TruthMatrix analysis system and authorised EmerTech staff involved in your engagement. Documents are not shared with other clients or third parties.
How long are my documents retained?
